Leisure Resort Primed Waterberg Farm Portions On Auction

Leisure Resort Primed Waterberg Farm Portions On Auction

Property developers and investors looking to capitalise on the leisure market will not want to miss the opportunity to bid on two farm portions with “resort-ready” improvements in Lephalale, Waterberg, Limpopo.

That’s the word from Park Village Auctions’ Jaco du Toit who anticipates fierce bidding from discerning investors who recognise the favourable income opportunity that this sale represents.

Du Toit: “Owners can enjoy a much shorter lead time to realising a return on investment. With eight guest chalets, a swimming pool, entertainment boma and lapa, borehole water and two JoJo tanks on one of the portions already, only a marginal capital outlay would be needed to convert the property into a holiday resort or time-share accommodation.

“The properties’ location in the Waterberg region of Limpopo province, affectionately known as ‘The Heartbeat of the Bushveld’ offers guests a scenic getaway steeped in cultural history. Not to mention that Lephalale is malaria-free, a ‘pull factor’ for families and overseas visitors.

“While on the topic of attracting the overseas market, the route from OR Tambo International to Lephalale passes the Grootwater Nature Reserve. From there it’s only a short drive to Botswana or Zimbabwe, as self-drive Southern Africa adventures are popular among international holidaymakers these days.”

First on the block will be Farm Portion Smitspan 306 LQ, Lephalale, which measures measuring 1165.7 hectares. This portion comprises eight, thatched, face-brick chalets—each with bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen and a lapa—a swimming pool, entertainment boma and lapa, two JoJo tanks and a borehole.

The second property comprises the remaining extent of Farm Hooikraal 315 LQ, Lephalale, measures 955.3 hectares. It features a farmhouse and outbuildings which du Toit says has the makings of an attractive holiday manor.

The auction is set to take place at 12-noon on Thursday the 27th of February at Mazars Boardroom Ground Floor, Mazars House 54 Glenhove Road, Melrose Estate. Viewing is strictly by appointment only and can be arranged by calling Jaco du Toit on 082 798 9476.
