Month-End Truck and Trailer Auction On The Cards
Park Village Auctions’ latest truck auction to be held at Nasrec come month end represents an excellent opportunity for fleet managers to acquire newer vehicles at better-than-market prices.
That’s the word from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn who says that the newly introduced Carbon Tax and anticipated diesel increases may see fleet managers opting to replace “guzzlers”.
Augustyn: “Expenses are up all around. As a result, new vehicle sales have been hard hit, but this doesn’t mean that transporters have halted on purchasing assets. Contrary, they are leveraging their optimum replacement cycles for maximum fleet efficiency.”
According to Augustyn, the fact that PVA’s upcoming auction comprises assets stemming from a mixture of genuine bank repossessions and liquidation matters represents a timeous opportunity for buyers to procure good condition late model trucks and trailers at favourable rates.
The auction takes place at Gate 2 of the Nasrec Showgrounds in Johannesburg South at 10:30am on the 27th of June. Viewing will take place the day prior from 9am-4pm.
Rigid trucks include MAN, Mitsubishi, Nissan UD40, 80 and 90, Toyota Dyna, Hino and Tata rigid trucks. Truck tractor brands to go on the block include International, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, MAN TGA, Scania, Iveco, Hino, Renault, and Volvo.
There will also be a selection of trailers and earth moving equipment on the block, comprising flat deck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat deck, side tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders.
