KZN Commercial Property, Meat Processing Plant and Loose Assets on Auction
Park Village Auctions will soon make available assets stemming from a Kuleka-based meat retailer and food processing concern which is currently in business rescue.
The commercial property, located at 10-12 5th Street, Kuleka, Empangeni, comprises an office component with a waiting room, a reception area, fourteen offices, a cash room, a strong room, cold rooms, double door smokers; a warehouse and packing sheds featuring chiller rooms, deep freezers, packing areas, kitchens, dispatch areas; a meat processing factory; workshops; change room facilities; carports for eight vehicles and customer parking bays.
Loose assets on the block include Maurer-Atmos 4-trolley steam cookers, cooking cabinets, bin trolleys, a Vermag 4-trolley double door cooker, a Smart 3008 rotary screw compressor, a casing spool, Handtman automatic sausage filling lines, BTE Blenders, KS 175 micro cutters, stainless steel platform scales, BTE mincers, Laska cutters, a pickle injector, stainless steel prep tables, Multivac vacuum machines, and assorted office equipment.
Vehicles comprising Linde and Toyota forklifts, an Isuzu NPR 400 and FRR 500, a Nissan, and Mercedes Benz 1214 Refrigerated Body Rigid Trucks will also be on the block.
PVA’s business rescue division which specialises in selling businesses which are experiencing difficulties. Says PVA’s Keith Green: “Most companies that fall under this banner are simply in need of a capital injection or restructuring to continue operating and therefore represent a great opportunity for investors.
“We expect to see a good showing from similar food processing or manufacturing concerns. What is interesting to note is that the nature of the property could easily lend itself as a warehousing and cold storage facility as well.”
