Fleet of Side-Tippers Set To Be the Focus at Month-End Truck Auction
Hot on the heels of a successful July auction, Park Village Auctions has wasted no time in securing yet another collection of quality used commercial vehicles. Word from PVA’s Head of Asset Recovery, Le Roy Augustyn, says that this time around, another fleet of side-tipper trailers are set to steal the show.
“We are pleased to bring to market more Afrit 40 cube side tipper link trailers.” Says Augustyn as he explains that July’s auction also showcased a fleet of side-tippers, stemming from a large liquidation matter currently in the auction houses care, which sold in record time.
In addition to the highlighted Afrit 40 cube side-tippers, trailer stock to be sold includes SA Truck Bodies; Henred Fruehauf; and Motor Trail side tipper, flat deck link, and drop-side link trailers. An SA Truck Bodies tri-axle refrigerated trailer will also be on the block.
Under the banner of rigid trucks and truck tractors, PVA will auction assets from manufacturers such as Fuso, International, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, MAN TGA, Scania, Iveco, Renault, Volvo, and Mitsubishi as well as Nissan UD40, 80 and 90, Toyota Dyna, Hino and Tata rigid trucks.
Notable earthmoving, agricultural and commercial assets to be sold include a Bell B40D articulated dump truck, a Caterpillar 416D backhoe loader, skidsteer and backhoe loaders, a fleet of Nissan NP300 LDV’s, and an assortment of forklifts.
Augustyn believes that, while the side-tipper fleet is an obvious draw-card, the auction will attract a broad spectrum of buyers that may wish to take advantage of the lowered interest rate.
Augustyn: “There aren’t many signs of new vehicle costs improving in the near future, so fleet managers will most likely take advantage the reprieve that the Reserve Bank has granted to replenish critical assets.”
PVA’s auction will commence at 10:30am on the 29th at PVA’s truck yard at gate 2 of the Nasrec Showgrounds. Viewing will take place the day prior from 9am-4pm.
