Supermarket Assets on Auction
Bargains aplenty for food and beverage retailers as Park Village Auctions will soon make available the entire contents of a prominent supermarket.
That’s the word from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn who says that the assets on offer will appeal to retailers, especially those with bakery, butchery or deli interests.
Assorted equipment to be sold comprise stainless steel prep tables, multi-tier double-sided steel gondola shelving, multi-tier steel industrial shelving, walk-in fridge-freezers with shelving, multi-tier island food display fridges, and double-sided island fridges and freezers.
There will also be a bun divider, a bread roller, a dough roller, a large dough mixer, sausage fillers; meat mincers; band saws, biltong dryers and smokers, and electronic scales on offer.
Checkout counters, multi-tier sweet stands, and assorted office equipment will be the last lots to go under the hammer. Augustyn says that the assets stem from the relocation of an established supermarket franchise and are therefore in good working order.
Augustyn: “Bidders are in for a treat as auctions allow buyers to acquire quality equipment that would usually bloat capital expenditure budgets.
“The items offer promise a long lifespan yet, which will appeal to those who are also perhaps in the market to replenish equipment or expand their retail space.”
The auction is set to take place on-site at Brightwater Commons, Republic Road, Randburg, on Tuesday the 2nd of April at 10:30. Interested bidders can view the lots the day prior from 10am to 3pm.
